MAYOR RALPH GUTIERREZ
Mayor Gutierrez has proudly served the City of Schertz for nearly a decade, dedicating his career to keeping the community safe, thriving, and welcoming. He has served as both a City Councilmember and now as Mayor, building a record of leadership grounded in experience, integrity, and results. Prior to his service with the City of Schertz, he spent 20 years in a leadership role with the U.S. Federal Courts and is also a U.S. Air Force veteran, experiences that prepared him to guide Schertz responsibly and effectively.
As Mayor, he has strengthened public safety, improved infrastructure, supported businesses and responsible development, and created new jobs that bolster the local economy. He has also cultivated strong relationships with state and federal leaders, bringing valuable resources and opportunities to Schertz as the city continues to grow. His commitment to preserving quality of life while fostering growth has helped make Schertz the 9th safest city in Texas and 87th in the nation—clear reflections of his focus on community well-being.
